Most of the energy is wasted into heat due to conventional braking, so an optimal braking strategy needed. A Regenerative utilizes kinetic engine electrical by changing function electric machine a generator. The regenerative system uses Switched Reluctance Machine (SRM) which has several advantages; simple construction, does not require maintenance, and return battery. method that can be used in SRM change excitation angle produce maximum peak phase current. This study aims optimize (θeks) using controls greater than battery voltage current may flow when occurs. results analysis for implementation were proven testing devices laboratory.  Based on tests, exact was obtained, namely value θeks = 20º θkom 170º with initial speed 1822 RPM, reduced 1522 RPM process, could 12,5 flowing 5A.
